Noun: A special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to one person or group of people.

This is a blog about male privilege. That does not mean that this is a blog about how men have it better than women. Privilege does not exempt you from having bad things happen to you. However, having male privilege gives a man societal advantages over women.

Cathy Brennan, radical “feminist” terrorist, has set her sights on a young black activist in Baltimore County, MD. Phylicia Sampson is being taken to court by Brennan, a notorious harasser of trans women and their supporters. Sampson is a recent college grad with few resources, no car and no way to fight back without your help.

As a community, we’ve suffered Brennan’s assaults for a long time—her blog is the best known for outing trans women’s personal information. She believes trans women are men who are infiltrating the feminist community and expends her resources fighting them. The idea that she is now taking her harassment to a legal venue is horrifying. That she has selected a young black woman with few resources to fight back is repugnant.

We can’t let Cathy Brennan get away with this! Share Phylicia’s campaign on Facebook, twitter, tumblr and instagram. Here are some things you can do TODAY to help:

Tell your friends why it is important that they donate to this campaign.

Donate what you can.

Write to your favorite feminist blog and ask them to cover this campaign

Seemed like a bit of a dick but also had a bit of a sweet side. We barely knew each other when we were making out and he kept pushing for me to take my shirt off. I relented, not feeling too great about it. He knew I was not a virgin and I told him I didn’t want to rush things with him as I wanted to take things slow. Then I find out from our friend in common that he was telling EVERYONE that I wasn’t doing anything with him and that he was getting pissed off and impatient. After barely over a month of dating. He said I wasn’t a virgin (sharing my personal information) and didn’t see what the hold-up was about. Male privilege is assuming that because a woman has slept with someone else, she should automatically sleep with you.

Hello, Followers! Mod A Here.

Hi everyone! I thought this would be a perfect time to say hello and welcome to the new followers we’ve gained and to introduce myself. In case anyone missed it, Mod C is currently away for a long stretch due to personal health reasons, so I will be taking care of AMP while they are gone to make sure things stay A-okay!

I am very new at moderating a blog like this, so as a reminder, we have always asked that when you send in submissions, that the ones to post have “okay to post” somewhere in the message. Naturally, I will always try to exercise my better judgment, but the “okay to post” message really helps a lot in ensuring me that the submission is approved for public viewing.

We are also an intersectional blog. We will not support any submissions that are cissexist, racist, ableist, etc.

We also do not post any hate. All hatemail will be deleted.

That being said, I am going to try and pump up the queue, and I will be around, so thank you for following us—keep your stories, questions and concerns coming!

Do we really have to take this?

A friend of mine was moving from her apartment. She asked me to look after some of her things. I agreed and not too long after she asked if her daughter Frances can come pick it up. I agreed and she came over with her boyfriend, who was also the father of her baby. I helped them carry the stuff down to the car, and during the whole visit exchanged possibly 10 words.

Next day I received these texts. I had to created a fiancee I didn’t really have in order for him to stop.

I never told my friend what her daughter’s boyfriend did. Now they are expecting a second child, so as you all see, there was no break up.

So Do we women really have to take this kind of attitude?

Do we have to invent things and people in order to be left alone.

I don’t want to have my titties banged.

I am not an easy lay.

I don’t deserve this.

Why do I go from being called “cute” “smart” and “pretty” in the beginning of the conversation, to “fatty” “bitch” and “ugly” in the end?

Reblog if you are against sexual harassment.

My teacher, Ms. B, recognized that I was above the reading level of the rest of her students, as well as the fact that I was bored to tears reading what was provided. (So she gave me Shakespeare, which I enjoyed.)

Several students didn’t like her because she would come down on misbehaving students with all the wrath and fury that her short frame could manage. Which was a lot. They didn’t recognize that throwing papers and talking during a time when you weren’t supposed to talk in class (reading time, for example), wasn’t exactly the most respectful of actions. Or maybe they did. I never tried to figure out my peers at that age. Nobody likes seventh grade, right?

Anyway, there was a group of boys in the class that had a thing for mischief and they often would harass girls for their own amusement. In my experience in school, they were often ignored and the teachers tried to push them into the corner so that they wouldn’t bother anyone.

Near the end of the year, when we didn’t have much to do, people had separated into groups to discuss a book we had read. They were their own group and they were snickering and doing their own thing, whatever it was. They didn’t realize that Ms. B was behind them. So when one of them turned to look at the “pretty girl” of the class and muttered, “I would rape her so hard. Who’s with me?” They didn’t expect her to hear.

Teachers aren’t supposed to grab students. But she grabbed this boy and hauled him to the front of the class. And I’m sure nobody had ever seen her so angry. She didn’t point out the girl he had said it about (though we knew who it was). She merely said:

“You will know. That what you said is not okay. That it is not a joke. There is nothing amusing about rape. Now look at their faces and tell them what you said. Look in your classmate’s eyes and say what you said.”

He couldn’t manage to say it, and she followed up with, “You can’t say it? Maybe that’s because it’s not an okay thing to say.”

And I believe that was the last time, at least in middle school, that group of boys so casually mentioned rape.

And just as an aside, because I just got a couple messages in the inbox:

I didn’t see anything in my states lawbooks that said it was illegal for the parents to raise their boy this way.

Though I would like to add that the mother and father didn’t let their daughters play the same games because it was “bad for them” and “not for girls”. Two twin girls and a younger son.

When the twins’ birthday rolled around, they also gave presents to their son so that he “wouldn’t feel left out”. However, when his birthday came about, the twins did not get any presents.

This sort of attitude branched out where they allowed their son to play violent video games with his father (“He’s being supervised”). This includes, but was not limited to Call of Duty and Halo, along with other bloody, M rated games I am not familiar with. The mother lamented the fact that her son (then six) was having nightmares and becoming obsessed with guns and killing. And I mean obsessed with killing. Talking about killing his sisters. Killing his mother. Saying that if he killed himself his parents would be unhappy. (Which might not be related to the video games, I just saw a pattern when they started allowing him to play them.)

When I brought up what I was seeing, she gave me a look and said, “You obviously don’t understand anything about kids. Boys are supposed to like this sort of thing.”

However, when he got in trouble at school for getting into a fight (beating up another kid, more like), she said, “Boys will be boys. They just can’t control themselves!”

When I was only six or seven, a boy kept trying to look up and my school skirt and was lifting it. ...

When I was only six or seven, a boy kept trying to look up and my school skirt and was lifting it.
I told him to stop. He did it again.
I told him to stop. He laughed and did it again.
So I kicked him and ran away.
I was dragged down to the principle’s office, my mum was called in and I was in trouble. They said my behaviour was inappropriate and unacceptable. They told my mum to punish me. She refused and took me home. “If I had been you.” She said. “I wouldn’t have warned him.”
This boy continued to shove me against walls and try and kiss me regularly for the next few years and got away with it. If I defended myself, I was misbehaving. Male privilege is taking liberties with a girl’s body and her being punished for defending herself.

Boys: I like having sex and I am open about it.

Mod note: This is an interesting submission (and I’m sorry for breaking up your lovely submission into parts because I feel like these are all nice standing alone).

In shopping for clothing, often me and my friends don’t get a second look for shopping in the men’s section. In the one instance where I had a male friend buy women’s clothing, it was like a night and day difference in experience.

It’s almost like people realize that men have it better than women in society and they can understand why you “would want to be one”.

Dear Followers and Tag Trackers

Unfortunately life has gotten in the way of me regularly updating this blog. I will be in a treatment center from June 18th for about six months.

That is a long time for AMP to go without an update, so I will be handing the reins to my trusted friend, Mod A.

From now until I leave, I will be making a few changes to the site to make it easier for Mod A to handle. I will start signing off on things I write so that you can tell who is posting.

I’m not leaving until the 17th, but I thought it appropriate to announce it earlier.

I will see you all in six months.

Female privilege is getting to claim a headache to avoid sex.

Female oppression is having to claim physical illness to avoid sex because men won’t take a simple fucking “no” for an answer.

Female oppression is men being so entitled that they think being denied sex is oppressive.

Wow. Can we not?

I have stated in a previous submission that biological functions are not male privilege. And again, this submission is very cissexist.

Not all women have uteruses.

Don’t make me actually have to make a page about this and stick in on the blog.

EDIT: To be honest I’ve been waiting for this submission because it always comes up in feminist circles.

It's not my fault, they're just cold-hearted and stupid.

Mens Rights Activists: I don't see a problem with this.

Woman: I say I hate men because I've been physically/sexually abused, harassed on the street, made to feel inferior or have experienced domestic violence, and have had the weight of an entire social system of oppression forced on me since birth.

Mens Rights Activist: You're a fucking sexist! Not all men are like that! Why do you hate equality? You're a bad person! Get back in the kitchen! Fucking women.
